Not at all. The programme is built for beginners and those who want to strengthen their core skills. Everything is taught step-by-step in a way that feels simple, easy and convenient for kids to enjoy and succeed in.
Each week includes a mix of gymnastics basics, cheer skills (like jumps and motions), dance elements, and plenty of work on strength, flexibility and coordination — all while building their confidence and teamwork abilities.
Nope! FUNdamentals is a non-competitive programme, focused on enjoyment, learning and progress — not pressure. It’s the perfect way to grow without the stress of competing.
With your registration fee you get a Star Spirit t-shirt and sweatshirt. All you need is some leggings, joggers or shorts. Trainers or bare feet is up to you!

That’s completely okay — many children are at first. The class is designed to be gentle, encouraging and community-focused. Most students feel right at home after just one or two sessions.
Due to space and safety, parents aren’t able to stay in the room during class—but there’s a cosy waiting area just outside, and you’re always welcome to pop your head in for a peek! You’ll still feel completely connected to your child’s journey, with regular photos, videos and class updates shared directly to you through our easy-to-use parent app. It’s such a lovely way to see their confidence grow each week.
