What is Open Gym? How does it help an athlete?
Our Open Gyms are amazing! Unlike formal practices, open gym sessions provide a more casual and flexible setting, which encourages athletes to explore and improve their tumbling, stunts, jumps and dance.  Athletes of all skill levels, whether they’re new to cheerleading or have years of experience are welcome!
At Star Spirit our Open Gym facilities are unique as we not only offer access to mats, tumble track and our spring floor – we also offer access to our Worlds sized dance studio space! Â This allows participants to practice and perfect a range of skills, from basic jumps and motions to advanced tumbling and stunting techniques. This makes it an ideal environment for athletes to work on their specific goals and elements they want to improve!
Unlike structured team practices, open gyms provide athletes with the freedom and space to work on their individual needs.
Open gyms are more relaxed than formal practices but there are always experienced coaches present to offer guidance, answer questions, and ensure the safety of participants. Â This support allows individuals to receive valuable feedback and tips for improvement, contributing to a positive and constructive training environment.
